Requirements Definition
and Development
Requirements Definition is about working with your customers to understand the features and functions needed to deliver on the value drivers critical for the products success and translate them into detailed product requirements for our team to design your product
During this phase, our team will work with customers to define the capabilities that a system must have (functional) and properties of that system (non-functional) to meet the users’ needs within the scope of the project and business case. This includes defining quality and reliability acceptance limits.
Conceptual Design
Development
Concept design is about translating the product requirements into viable product concepts to test and optimize with customers
During this phase, the focus is specifically on the overall styling and the functional detail of the product. Our industrial designers and engineers collaborate with customers to explore different ideas which are presented through creative sketches, renderings, CAD models and rapid prototypes. Prototyping enables us to understand customer preference on how a product looks, functions and performs prior to investing in costly tooling.
Detailed Engineering Design
and Optimization
Our mechanical, electrical and software engineers utilize structured methodologies to ensure quality and reliability is designed into your product. We want to ensure your product will always meet the performance, manufacturing productivity, serviceability and cost targets defined for the product
During this phase, our engineers focus on developing and analyzing designs to meet functional, performance, and cost requirements. We utilize disciplined processes – Design for Six Sigma, Robust Design, Design for Manufacturability, Assembly and Serviceability methodologies to ensure this happens.
Process Development and
Optimization
We use a disciplined and methodical approach to equipment design, material quantification, methods development, and people training to ensure robust processes are designed into your test and manufacturing assembly systems
Our team of experts will work with your organization to develop robust processes throughout your products lifecycle – ensuring robust processes are always present in your production environment. Our focus is to develop scalable processes that can be transferred into your test and assembly equipment designs that are insensitive to normal input variations.
Design Verification and
Manufacturing Scale Up
Product test systems, component metrology in process inspection systems is a critical part of any products success. Cost, quality, reliability and a products serviceability are developed concurrently with the product.
During this phase, our team develops the test and assembly systems needed to ensure the robust processes and quality test methods developed during earlier phases are scaled into the production level systems needed to produce the product. We also validate the product produced from these systems meets the defined product, quality and manufacturing requirements.
